Roles Workflow Governance

Editorial Roles & Standards

The Editorial Board of GTS Press is responsible for maintaining the technical and ethical standards of our journals.

Editor-in-Chief (EIC)

Holds ultimate accountability for the journal's scientific direction and technical integrity. Establishes the high-level scope of the Archive, appoints board members, and makes the final determination on high-impact manuscripts.

Managing Editor

Oversees the lifecycle of every manuscript in the system. Responsible for the "technical audit" phase, including rigorous plagiarism screening, scope verification, and template compliance.

Associate Editor

Subject matter specialists who handle specific manuscript batches within their niche expertise. Their primary responsibility is to identify and invite elite peer reviewers and provide recommendations to the EIC.

A transparent, multi-stage process to ensure every manuscript is evaluated with the utmost rigor.

Ingestion & Technical Audit

1–3 Days

Secure ingestion into the GTS management portal. The Managing Editor conducts a multi-point technical audit, verifying plagiarism scores and scope alignment.

Peer Review Orchestration

2–5 Days

The Associate Editor identifies peer reviewers. This stage is governed by a strict Double-Blind protocol ensuring complete objectivity.

Iterative Revision Cycle

1–2 Weeks

Authors enter an iterative feedback loop with the editorial board. Authors are required to submit a rebuttal letter along with their revised manuscript.

Final Validation & Publication

3–7 Days

Final quality sign-off by the Editor-in-Chief. Following approval, the manuscript is assigned a permanent DOI and formatted for publication.

Board Governance Policies

All editorial decisions are independent, evidence-based, and governed by the following strict policies.

  • Editorial board members are appointed for a fixed term of 3 years, renewable upon performance review.
  • Conflict of interest disclosure is mandatory for every handled manuscript.
  • The Editor-in-Chief has the absolute right to reject any manuscript that does not meet ethical standards.
  • All editorial decisions are final and recorded in the GTS Press integrity ledger.

Frequently Asked Questions

The managing editor completes the initial technical audit within 1-3 business days of submission ingestion.
Associate editors use citation mapping to identify subject matter experts. At least 2 external reviewers are assigned per manuscript.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision after reviewing the revised manuscript and all reviewer recommendations.
